To laugh often and love much; to win the respect of intelligent persons and the affection of children; to earn the approbation of honest citizens and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to give of one's self; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived - this is to have succeeded. - Bessie Stanley

Get ready for it…. a blog about furniture. Yep. I know you are barely able to contain your joy and are gushing with excitement to find out what *I* might have to say about furniture. I promise I’ll make it short. Promise. After waiting for... morePrevious blog entries: | ||

| Notes |
- Went to the home improvement store and picked up a new set of long handled pruning shears. The man there asked me if I was planning on doing a little yard work. I flippantly replied, "Nah, these are just what I use to keep my husband in line." The man looked frightened. Can't imagine why!
- OH MY GOSH... I'm swamped. I'll be back eventually. BTW, I love the sound of car tires on gravel. Just thought you might be missing some of my perky randomness.
- I'm heading home today from Atlana. Surgery went well, after-effects of anesthesia did not go well. All is good.
- Movie star George Clooney has a funny way of keeping his life in balance:"It's important to remember that you're never as good as they say you are when they say you are good and you're never as bad as they say you are when they say you're bad. Eventually, I'll be doing infomercials, so it won't matter anyhow."
- I have been running so sweaty my whole life Urgent for a finish line And I have been missing the rapture this whole time of being forever incomplete Ever unfolding Ever expanding Ever adventurous And torturous And never done
- On Nov. 2, the Congressional Budget Office estimated what the plans will likely cost. An individual earning $44,000 before taxes who purchases his own insurance will have to pay a $5,300 premium and an estimated $2,000 in out-of-pocket expenses, for a total of $7,300 a year, which is 17% of his pre-tax income. A family earning $102,100 a year before taxes will have to pay a $15,000 premium plus an estimated $5,300 out-of-pocket, for a $20,300 total, or 20% of its pre-tax income. Individuals and families earning less than these amounts will be eligible for subsidies paid directly to their insurer. - I already pay over $7000.00 a year and it's already crippling.
- Ouch.. my legs hurt. This is a good thing.
- Is it just the media presenting it this way or does anyone else feel like there is a mass exodus of disenfranchised politicians fleeing Washington nowadays?
- It started to become a very sad day and then music saved me, as it usually does.
